MONSTROUS ACADEMY

The Monstrous Academy comes to Czocha Castle in July.

Dozens of teachers, students and graduates of Nevermore Academy will arrive at our medieval stronghold and hold a Day of Friendship between humans and outcasts.

All this thanks to years of cooperation between the Polish branch of Hogwarts and Nevermore Academy.

At this year’s consortium of mages, mutated beings and humans, a joint decision was taken to remove the barriers between the three most powerful species inhabiting planet Earth. A vote established that the perfect day for unification would be the Day of Friendship, held this year at Czocha Castle.

On 8-9 July, almost all the students of Nevermore Academy will come to Czocha Castle for the MONSTROUS

ACADEMY festival. The purpose of the visit is to popularise outcasts and to spread absolute tolerance. Outcasts of every kind will appear in the castle courtyard – vampires, sirens, werewolves, gorgons. The Addams family will be there too, having booked our princely chamber well in advance.

Czocha Castle will become a safe haven for all the outcasts who wish to show humans their best side. The outcasts have planned many attractions to share with the human population.

From reliable sources we know that there will be fencing displays and workshops, cello and harp concerts in a fiery arrangement, dance shows and dance lessons (the popular dance from the Rave’N Ball will be performed several times). You will witness a gothic fashion show and take part in numerous workshops inspired by the world of Tim Burton.

MONSTROUS ACADEMY, 8-9 July 2023

The Monstrous Academy invites you to great fun in the spirit of the popular series Wednesday and of the Addams Family!

Get ready!

8-9 JULY 2023. From 11:00 to 18:00 the fun will go on non-stop in the castle courtyards. Workshops and shows will run without a break and everyone will be able to join in!

We will fill every minute with attractions.

SHOWS AND ANIMATIONS:

Cello with dance.

Wednesday will play the cello accompanied by a harp in a fiery arrangement. Fans of the gloomy teenager will hear the popular piece from the scene on the terrace of Nevermore Academy. (Performances once an hour).

Fencing display.

Fencers will face each other in the castle courtyard, and right after the duel they will invite children to a workshop so that everyone can try their hand at this most elegant of martial arts. (Display once an hour).

Wednesday’s dance.

The popular dance from the Rave’N Ball will be performed by Wednesday herself! Right after the show the children will join in and dance together in the courtyard! (Show and dance animations once an hour).

Gothic and outcast fashion show.

The outcasts will show what style rules at Nevermore Academy. Representatives of the vampires, gorgons, sirens, werewolves and shapeshifters will stage a Gloomy Fashion Show. The castle courtyard becomes the catwalk and you become the audience. (Show once an hour).

Family photograph.

The Addams family will stroll through the courtyards and gardens, ready to pose for photographs.

WORKSHOPS:

Film make-up workshops.

The workshops will be divided into six blocks. Each block lasts one hour

*Wednesday’s make-up.

*Corpse make-up.

*Cut wounds.

*Thing’s make-up.

*Sunburns.

*Peeling skin.

Jewellery-making workshops.

Children will be able to make jewellery in the style of:

*Wednesday.

*Enid.

*Sea sirens.

Thing-making workshops.

During the workshops children will create the Thing from the series!

Fencing workshops.

The workshops will follow every fencing display.

Archery workshops.

By academic tradition, skill with a bow is required to be promoted to the next year at Nevermore Academy.

Beekeeping workshops.

The beekeeping club of Nevermore Academy will run workshops in which children discover the remarkable world of bees.

AND WHAT IS MORE!

*Reptile keepers with snakes and lizards.

*A photographic garden.

The window from Wednesday’s room will hang in a tree! There will be piranhas too, and huge carnivorous plants will be planted around the little fountain.

Together with Dolina Pereł (https://www.dolinaperel.pl/) we are opening an extra car park, from which a SHUTTLE BUS will bring you to Czocha Castle, running both ways roughly every 20 min., from 11:00 to 17:00

Pet policy of Czocha Castle, administered by AMW REWITA Sp. z o.o.

1. Touring Czocha Castle’s rooms with pets is prohibited.
2. Courtyard tours with pets are allowed as long as a dog wears a muzzle. Miniature dogs (max. 30 cm) are excused from wearing a muzzle. The rule applies to breeds such as York, Shih-Tzu, and Maltese.
3. During outdoor and themed events, the use of various pyrotechnic effects and increased tourist traffic make courtyard tours with pets impossible, out of concern for the animals’ safety.
4. Visitors who do not follow the rules will have to leave the Czocha Castle area.
